Recap of Season 5 Volume 1
Season 5 of Money Heist was filmed in Madrid, Spain. In addition, the series was also shot in Panama, Thailand, Italy, Denmark, and Portugal.
After being publicly ridiculed and degraded by the National Police Corps, Alicia Sierra tracks out The Professor and holds him at gunpoint in Part 5 Volume 1 of the show. She traumatizes The Professor even more while trying to figure out a way back into the police force after already being booted out. Meanwhile, Colonel Luis Tamayo intends to deploy an army into the bank, but Lisbon, Stockholm, and Tokyo take out a few hostages to gain time and bargain with the police. They discover that they were unaware of The Professor’s kidnapping. Meanwhile, Arturo Román and other hostages attack Bogotá and find themselves in a weapons arsenal. Arturo is hurt, and the gang sends him out to seek medical help, giving the special forces an ideal opportunity to infiltrate the structure.
Alicia, on the other hand, starts to go into labor even as The Professor advises while strapped to a chair. He encourages her to untie him so he may help her, and she eventually earns his trust and allows him to deliver her baby. Meanwhile, Helsinki is hurt when the special forces arrive with an explosion. However, the gang manages to get him out of harm’s way safely. As The Professor re-enters the picture, he blackmails Tamayo. Meanwhile, the group is split up, and while they search for an escape route, Tokyo becomes trapped as the others emerge. Tokyo becomes a stumbling block for the special forces before they shoot her dead. But as they approach her, they notice she has withdrawn the grenade pins. The bomb explodes and kills everybody, and the gang grieves the death of Tokyo.

That’s why this episode’s climax has been so eagerly anticipated, with fans eager to see if the gang will enjoy a happy ending – or if more members will die while imprisoned inside the Bank of Spain.
Season 5 Volume 2 Synopsis
Our protagonist, The Professor, and the rest of the crew are arrested in the last episode of Money Heist; and they appear to be out of alternatives. Professor, however, demonstrating that he’s still one step ahead of the game, publishes a video that shows how they stole the gold out of the Royal Bank of Spain. The video sends financial markets into a tailspin, increasing pressure on the administration to make a decision quickly. The Professor is seen in the flashback sequence outlining their escape strategy to the gang. Denver, who was shown in the flashback dissatisfied with the strategy, considers betraying the gang because he is afraid of never seeing his kid again. He, on the other hand, does not carry out his scheme.
And the Plot Thickens in the Finale
Elsewhere, Marseille is seen driving around in trucks as a distraction, driving the cops mad. Tamayo (Fernando Cayo) kidnaps and tortures The Professor and Raquel before The Professor tries to persuade him to collaborate with them to end the financial crisis. Even as the episode unfolds, it becomes clear that The Professor’s strategy is working, with police tracking the trucks to a boat, assuming that the gold had been dropped in the sea. As a consequence, the media discovered that the gold had vanished from the bank. Tamayo accepts to work with Professor after witnessing the mayhem.
Calling a press conference, Tamayo briefs the media on the situation, and trucks arrive on the site just as the press conference concludes. The trucks transport all of the stolen gold back to Spain, restoring the country’s economy. However, The Professor discloses that the gold is actually brass that has been disguised to seem like gold. Tamayo accepts the offer since he has no other choice, and informs the media that the gang is no longer alive. As a result, the crew manages to pull off the world’s largest heist. They are now free to live out the remainder of their lives with the riches, while the rest of the world believes they are dead.
The Cast: who remains and who dies
The Professor (Alvaro Morte) ever since his initial appearance, has been a fan favorite, and luckily for us all, he made it to the finish because of his brilliant intelligence.
Lisbon/Raquel (Itziar Ituo), who jumped sides from inspector to joining the gang, actually survived because of her faith in The Professor. The Professor and Lisbon seemed to have achieved their happily ever after with him asking to marry her.
Rio (Miguel Herran) mended his broken heart by leaving the door open for Tokyo in his heart after the tragic loss of his love. Rio remained steadfast throughout his mental anguish to protect his family and gang.
Denver (Jaime Lorente) was at the end of his rope when it came to commitment concerns, whether it was with his girlfriend or with The Professor. Denver lived and was reunited with Stockholm in the end, owing to The Professor’s scheme, which he may have mistrusted.
Manila (Belén Cuesta) may not have struck it rich in love, but she did strike it rich in survival, as she lived to tell the tale of being a part of Spain’s grandest heist.
Palermo (Rodrigo de la Serna) witnessed the fantasy he created with Berlin (Pedro Alonso) come alive with this crime. By making their dream happen, he confirmed his love for Berlin.
Alicia Sierra (Najwa Nimri) is the worst new mom on the block. While extremely pregnant, she managed to catch The Professor and then escape from the cops pursuing her while cuddling her newborn baby. Sierra made it through by finally letting go of her emotions and establishing an interesting partnership with The Professor.
Bogota and Helsinki (Hovik Keuchkerian) (Darko Perić) were spared too. While Helsinki’s situation appeared hopeless after he was seriously hurt and had to have his leg amputated, his faith in Palermo’s plan and his commitment to bring everyone out kept him alive. Bogota’s mindset of not giving up until the final possible moment enabled him to make it to the finish line.
Anyway, the best part is that no one died in the last act of Money Heist, albeit Arturo’s death will continue to be a desire unmet. Still, it is a comfort considering that fans never quite recovered from the deaths of Oslo, Moscow, Nairobi, and Tokyo
Aftermath Spoilers
If you’re upset that the thrilling show is ending, don’t worry: Netflix has announced that it is producing a Money Heist spin-off series based on the character of Berlin (Pedro Alonso). Despite his dubious morality, the psychopathic criminal has become a cult hero, and inspite of his early demise in the second season, he has remained a significant element of the show throughout its five seasons. It’s only natural that his future spin-off will be set in the same period as the flashback storyline in Money Heist season five. Pedro Alonso and Patrick Criado are expected to reprise their roles as on-screen father-and-son Berlin and Rafael, fans will remember their journey has mostly been distinct from the main plot. Expect no appearances from Berlin’s brilliant brother The Professor in Berlin’s follow-up plot, Actor Alvaro Morte appears determined that this is the cast’s final appearance.
