Grok-1.5 – the much-anticipated upgrade to the Grok-1 Chatbot – will be available on the X platform (formerly known as Twitter) within a few days. In a statement released on March 28, X.ai stated that the Grok-1.5 chatbot will be available to X users in the coming days.
Grok-1.5 – More Powerful and More Capable
Grok-1.5 is said to be the better, more improved, and more capable version of its predecessor – Grok-1. X.ai says that Grok-1.5 has surpassed its predecessor to a great extent in terms of its reasoning capacity. The model outscores its predecessor by a wide margin on the MATH benchmark, GSM8K benchmark, and the HumanEval benchmark, which is a testament to its capacity for solving mathematical problems, generating code, and problem-solving abilities.
Grok-1.5 – More Memory, Improved Ability to Process Context
One of the most notable aspects of Grok-1.5 is its ability to process large amounts of input data – commonly referred to as ‘context.’ X.ai claims that Grok-1.5 is capable of processing up to 128,000 tokens, which is substantially more significant than the amount of context Grok-1 is capable of processing.
The increased capacity for processing context translates into larger memory – which is 16 times higher than Grok-1’s memory capacity. As a result, Grok-1.5 can use data from large documents to generate comprehensive, more meaningful responses and can handle complex prompts that require reasoning and contextualizing, which Grok-1 is incapable of.
Grok-1.5 is also trained to respond to questions on topics that are typically off-limits to other AI chatbots – including politics. With its expanded reasoning ability and its one-of-a-kind design that allows it to respond to all kinds of questions, Grok-1.5 is expected to take the AI chatbot technology to the next level.
