Malaysian Plan MH17
An atmosphere of shock has settled over the airwaves today as a report was published stating that a passenger plane from Malaysia Airlines has been apparently shot down between the Ukraine and Russian border. With 280 passengers on board and fifteen crew members, details regarding the depth of the destruction have yet to be published, however amateur footage posted on YouTube shows a great deal of smoke filling the skies after the aircraft hit the ground and some rather gruesome twitter posts give some information as to the extent of the tragedy:
Following this post, Reuters commented that local emergency services which had quickly arrived on the scene had discovered a horrendous scene with body parts scattered up to fifteen kilometres away from the initial crash site. With over 100 bodies on the ground, it seems as though the news is only going to get worse.
The Story So Far:
After Malaysia Airlines confirmed that, they had lost contact with their airline, MH17:
Gerashchenko, an expert Ukrainian advisor, wrote a post on his Facebook page stating that the plane had been destroyed on Ukrainian territory after it was struck by a missile fired from a ground-based BUK launcher, commenting that the attack was made by a separatist group named ‘Interfax’.
The president of the Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko, has demanded an immediate investigation of the incident, stating that this was the third “tragic incident” in recent days after Su-25 and An-26 were also shot down. He comments that although they are not ruling out the idea that the plane could have been shot down, they do “stress that the Ukraine military didn’t take any actions” to destroy the craft.

Coming not so long after the Malaysian Airline’s flight MH370, which mysteriously vanished on route to Beijing, the Malaysian prime minister has also announced his shock at the tragic event, claiming that they too will be launching an investigation into what happened
Senator John McCain has announced that if the reports about a malicious attack regarding the downed Malaysian plane are discovered to be true, there will be ‘incredible repercussions’ against the people that are responsible.
