It’s difficult to select a number one moment when it comes to comedy in the show Friends, simply because it’s so jam-packed with amazing options. One of my favourite Phoebe quotes which I still use to this day is:
2. How I met Your Mother
HIMYM is another fantastic comedy show, with hundreds of laugh-out-loud funny lines and plots capable of keeping any viewer entertained for hours. However, one of my favourite episodes has to be the epic musical number. I was singing ‘Nothing suits me like a suit’ for at least three days after watching it.
3. Two Broke Girls
I love Kat Dennings, and Two Broke Girls is a really fun show which basically gives viewers exactly what it says on the tin. There are numerous amazing quotes from this show, and I have been known to share a few gifs with friends when I can’t think of a better way to describe the way I feel about something. However, one of my absolute favourite scenes has to be this one:
Supernatural can’t really be classified as a comedy show, despite all the humorous plot twists and ingenious bits of writing that make each episode truly spectacular. However, I couldn’t make a list about the funniest moments in television without drawing attention to Supernatural’s version of Lucifer, and this memorable quote:
5. The Big Bang Theory
The Big Bang officially made nerds cool, by showing off just how funny, interesting and downright entertaining they can be. With plenty of adorable quotes and moments pertaining to Sheldon, Penny and the gang, it still didn’t take me too long to decide on my favourite:
6. Modern Family
Modern family comes with its own personal selection of hard-core fans, and it’s no surprise, with a cast full of witty characters and entertaining plots to keep audiences laughing each and every episode. This is my favourite moment:
7. Two and A Half Men
As much as I like Ashton Kutcher, to me the show Two and a Half Men can never really be the same after losing Charlie Sheen. It’s still a pretty funny series to watch, but my personal favourite moments will always be within the earlier seasons. Remember this, for example?
8. House M.D.
Again, House isn’t technically classed as a comedy, but it’s certainly made me laugh countless times with that fantastic portrayal by the absolutely legendary Hugh Laurie. Using a crack team of expert doctors, and a selection of utterly dazzling wits, House saves the day again and again, but he still finds time to be sarcastic, and hilarious from time to time too.
9. That 70’s Show
That 70s show was a fantastic little comedic gem that many of us mourned when it was taken off the air in 2006. Written like a classic sitcom with a wonderful theme-tune and a really great selection of cast members, it was overflowing with priceless moments such as this:
Let’s be honest, Scrubs was only really the best that it could possibly be when Zach Braff was a part of it. When JD left, the show lost just about all of its appeal for me, even though Dr Cox was probably my favourite character.
